This Privacy Policy describes how the SelfFit Content Engine accesses and handles information in connection with the Meta platforms (Instagram and Facebook).

1. Overview

The SelfFit Content Engine ("the app", "the tool") is an internal business tool operated by Frank Hidalgo / SelfFit ("we", "us", "our"). It is used to connect our own Instagram Business account and Facebook Page to our self-hosted Postiz instance for content scheduling, publishing, Trial Reels, and performance analytics.

The app is not a public, multi-tenant product. It is used internally to manage social media assets that we own and operate. This policy explains what information the app may access and how we handle it.

Our use of data obtained from Instagram and Facebook complies with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. Data obtained through the Meta APIs is used only for the internal publishing and analytics purposes described in this policy.

We do not sell user data. We do not scrape Instagram or Facebook. We do not access private competitor insights. We do not use the data for unauthorized profiling or for any purpose unrelated to managing our own business-owned content.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade data accessed through the app. We do not share this data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data may be processed by the infrastructure that runs our self-hosted instance (for example, our own server hosting and the Postiz application) strictly to provide the functionality described above. We may also disclose information where required to comply with applicable law or a valid legal request.

6. Data Storage and Security

The app runs on a self-hosted instance on infrastructure we control. Access tokens and related connection data are stored to maintain the authorized connection and are protected using reasonable technical and organizational measures, including restricted access and encrypted transport (HTTPS).

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We take reasonable steps to protect the information the app handles.

7. Data Retention

We retain information accessed through the app only for as long as needed to operate our content workflow, or as required for legal, security, or compliance reasons. When a connected account is disconnected or a deletion request is processed, associated access tokens and connection data are removed, except where retention is required as described above.

You can also disconnect the app at any time from your Facebook or Instagram account settings under Business Integrations / Apps and Websites.

10. Changes to This Policy
